Consulting services on communication support

Health Advocacy Coalition (HAC) is an independent research, policy, and analytical platform whose objective is to stimulate the experience exchange and interaction between the private sector, civil society, and international and governmental organizations in accelerating and ensuring the sustainability of the EECA region’s progress in moving towards universal health coverage (UHC). Its mission is to provide a platform for barrier-free and non-discriminatory engagement of all stakeholders to bring together diverse positions and perspectives to shape a robust strategy for reaching universal health coverage, including an assessment of the progress towards universal health coverage commitments, and to promote a coherent, balanced and inclusive approach to health systems strengthening.

Considering universal health coverage as a key global health perspective, we see an important role in information support of health system transformation. We strive to provide the public and policymakers with timely data on the progress and challenges of achieving UHC.

HAC is looking for a communications expert who/someone to be part of our active team.

– Location: remote work

– Contract type: short-term for 4 months with the possibility of extension

Main tasks and responsibilities of the consultant:

• Cooperation with the media: generate news stories, prepare press materials (press releases, author columns, interviews, etc.)
• Preparation and design of information messages for social networks and the organization’s website;
• Designing and distributing informational materials for the platform to support advocacy activities around the UHC concept in the EECA region;
• Effective cooperation with external contractors (designers, printers, translators): preparation of technical tasks, control of fulfillment.
• Participate in the preparation and implementation of information materials for public events held by the organization.
• Perform other tasks stipulated in the work plan of HAC programs.
• Close interaction with project managers at all stages of project preparation and implementation.

 Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience as a communications manager/expert, PR manager for 2 years or more;
• Understanding of SMM and digital marketing;
• Experience working with media;
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, international relations or related field or at least 5 years of practical experience in public health and NGOs in the EECA region;
• Excellent speaking, writing, editing, reporting and other communication skills in English and Russian. Ukrainian language skills will be an advantage;
• Good knowledge and understanding of the context of health programs in the project countries and in the EECA region;
